Admixture

A small amount of a additive other than the basic ingredients of concrete, that is added to the concrete mixture to provide a desired modification to affect the concrete's plasticity, air entrainment, or curing time.

Admixtures include  accelerators,  set retardants,  plasticizers,  air-entrainers, and water-reducing agents.
