Concrete
Block
A masonry block often used in the construction of the
exterior walls of houses and low-rise buildings. Each concrete
block usually has a hollow center that is divided into three.
One block usually measures 8" x 8" x 16" in size.
Concrete block can have a flange on one end to accept mortar
and the adjacent block. End blocks are used at the end of a
wall and would have a one smooth.
The design and first use of the concrete block is credited
to the famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
