Curing
Blanket
A chemical process in which concrete or other cement-based
materials become solid and develops strength. The longer the
curing takes, the stronger the concrete.
Curing is not drying, although curing does occur
through the evaporation of water as well as chemical
reactions.
The amount of time required for curing depends
on several factors, including the type of cement, the mix
proportions, admixtures, the size of the concrete section, and
the general humidity. Most favorable curing temperatures
are between 50˚ and 70˚F.
