Trowel

A flat, thin tool used in working concrete, mastic, or mortar to create a dense, smooth finish on a concrete surface.

As a hand tool, a trowel can be pointed or rectangular and has a handle.

However, a trowel can also be a machine with rotating blades that is used in the finishing of concrete slabs.
